May 28, 2023 – Social Media Trends | MainstreamCanadian.ca – World’s number one ranked ODI (One Day Cricket) player, the captain of Pakistani cricket team, Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan are attending the Harvard Business School’s executive education programme on the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS). This makes them the first two cricketers to join this prestigious school.
Former Pakistani cricketer Rashif Latif confirmed the news on his Twitter account and said, “The world number one ranked ODI batter and Captain of the Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan, the Vice Captain of the Pakistan test cricket team, are the first cricketers to join the Harvard Business School’s executive education program, on The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS), with their mentor, the Saya Corporation Founder and CEO, Talha Rehmani.”
The the two cricket stars will participate in the programme from May 31st to June 3rd at the school’s campus in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Pakistani duo will join the long list of top-tier sportspersons, who have pursued the course previously. The list includes footballer such as Kaka, Edwin van der Sar, Gerard Pique, Oliver Kahn; NBA stars like Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul and Paul Gasol.
The BEMS program emphasizes the obstacles facing entertainment industry decision-makers, helps the participants develop and execute more effective business strategies. During the program, participants debate and analyze the business and technology trends that are redefining the industry—from the viewpoints of the content producer, content reseller/aggregator, talent manager, and consumer.
