King Charles III Crowned in front of guests that included global leaders and celebrity stars

May 6, 2023 | London, United Kingdom – The Coronation Service of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla took place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023 at 1100hrs.

A day before The Coronation Service, King Charles III met with Commonwealth leaders at the Commonwealth heads of government leaders meeting at Marlborough House on May 05, 2023 in London, England.

Jeremy Hansen, Mary Simon, Governor-General of Canada, Whit Fraser, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau were seen arriving at the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla on May 06, 2023. 

Attending on behalf of President Joe Biden, first lady Dr. Jill Biden invited her 23-year-old granddaughter, Finnegan Biden, to accompany her for The Coronation Service.

The Coronation Service guest list also included Emma Thompson and her husband Greg Wise, Lionel Richie, Judi Dench, Stephen Fry and Katy Perry as well as members of the royal family, including the King’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry, his daughter-in-law Catherine, the Princess of Wales, his grandchildren Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, and his siblings Princess Anne and Princes Andrew and Edward.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan was seen arriving as well.

Lionel Richie is set to perform at tomorrow’s Coronation Concert as well, and looked dapper in a black long coat at The Coronation Service today.

Katy Perry is headlining The Coronation Concert in London tomorrow, attended the ceremony in a lavender monochromatic dress. 

Dame Emma Thompson was spotted heading to The Coronation Service wearing a long floral red coat over a black dress.

Hollywood stars including Tom Cruise will perform at The Coronation Concert on Sunday, 7 May that will take place in the grounds of Windsor Castle in front of a crowd of 20,000 members of the public. Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor has also been chosen to deliver a spoken performance, which she said she would be “honoured” to do, according to media reports.
