Last year in June, The Rose Brampton announced that Pakistani-Canadian star Ahad Raza Mir will perform in a thrilling new production of “Hamlet.”
“Hamlet,” starring Ahad Raza Mir, was supposed to open in October 2020 at The Rose Brampton, with only nine public performances and three school performances.
Now, in the wake of coronavirus, Mir has taken to social media to announce that the production will be postponed to 2021.
“To be or not to be…. Well, unfortunately not this year. The Rose Theatre and I have decided to postpone our production of Hamlet to next year,” the Yaqeen Ka Safar actor wrote on Instagram.
“Its too bad, but we’ll all meet soon enough to experience the magic of Shakespeare together. Thank you to all my fans for your patience and love. See you at the theatre in 2021.“
Mir, studied theatre in Calgary and is an international, award-winning actor with leading roles in popular TV shows and films in Pakistan. Mir has established a career in Pakistan and has earned praise for portraying unconventional roles on screen, and is the recipient of a Lux Style Award.
