Muslims all over the globe have marked the end of Hajj (pilgrimage) and first day of Eid in Middle East, Europe, UK, USA, Canada on Friday July 31, whereas across South Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) and rest of Asia marked the first day of Eid on Saturday August 1.
In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued the Eid greetings statement and was also seen spending time with a Muslim family preparing Eid cards.
Bollywood and Lollywood celebrities (including Canadian-Pakistani stars) took to Twitter this Eid Al Adha and greeted all those celebrating Eid, and posted Eid messages.
Veteran actor Dharmendra posted Eid greetings and so did his co-star, Amitabh Bachchan, from super hit blockbusters like Sholay.
Anil Kapoor posted an Eid message and said, “On this blessed occasion of Eid, wishing you and your family joy, happiness, peace and prosperity! #EidMubarak.
Shah Rukh Khan posted a picture of his son with a caption, “Eid Mubarak to everyone. May this day and actually everyday bring peace happiness and health to all your loved ones. Everyone give yourself a self hug.”
Salman Khan posted a picture of himself, in which he can be seen wearing cloth as a mask. “Eid Mubarak,” he captioned the post
