It’s been over three months since the sad demise of popular star Rishi Kapoor. The romantic hero of his time, Rishi instantly became an audience favourite for his on-screen charisma. Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 after battling cancer.
September 4 marks Rishi’s first birth anniversary after his demise, and his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni went on to share a series of pictures on social media, from happier times with a heartwrenching caption.
She wrote:
“Papa, They say when you lose someone, you can’t live without -your heart will badly break! But I know you are living in this broken heart & will be there forever! I know you are watching over all of us & ensuring that we live by the value system you instilled in us!
You gave me the gift of compassion -taught me the value of relationships & made me the person I am today!
I miss you each day & will always love you!

Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and flew to New York for treatment. He constantly kept in touch with his fans via his Twitter account and went on to inspire them with his happy posts and courage. Rishi Kapoor returned to Mumbai along with Neetu Singh and even began to sign films. But unfortunately, the actor suffered from a relapse of cancer and passed away on April 30, a day after the sudden death of his D-Day co-star, Irrfan Khan.
