Bollywood’s BigB, Amitabh Bachchan, on Sunday said that he has tested negative for COVID-19 and will now be quarantined at home. The 77-year-old actor, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai along with son Abhishek after testing positive for COVID-19 on July 11.
Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude to well-wishers for their continued support and prayers. He tweeted the news to his followers and wrote, “I have tested COVID – have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the Almighty, blessings of Ma Babuji, prayers, duas of near and dear and friends fans EF and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this“
Recently, Amitabh also gave a strong reply to an anonymous troll who wrote to him—‘I hope you die with this COVID.’ The megastar responded, “Hey Mr Anonymous .. you do not even write your Father’s name,.. because you do not know who Fathered you .. there are only two things that can happen .. either I shall die or either I shall live”.
Amitabh’s son, Abhishek shared on the microblogging site that his father has tested negative for the virus.
Abhishek wrote further and said, “I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise”
Abhishek’s wife, former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (46) and eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya were discharged from the hospital last week after testing negative for COVID-19.
On Sunday, August 2, India had reported 52,783 new cases of the novel coronavirus, with a total case count of over 1.8 million. 38,161 people have died in India due to COVID-19 as of Saturday.
