It is not clear if Ajay Devgn will star in the film. Film’s title, cast and other crew are yet to be announced.
In the meantime, while Ajay Devgn’s fans have welcomed the news, twitter has gone into a meme fest in relation to this announcement.
Twitter commentators went on to tweet, “Only Bollywood knows how make money out of India’s misery!” and further comments like, “Can’t wait for the action scene where Ajay Devgn uninstalls all 59 Chinese apps.” were being tweeted.
Social media commentators seemed anxious to see if Ajay Devgn will delete all the 59 Chinese Apps in one go, or will he start with TikTok first.
This was not the first time that the Bollywood actor was trolled for his stance, last time Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar were trolled after they tweeted in support of the Indian government’s claims of a “surgical strike” inside Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke at UNGA regarding this incident and said, “… they (India) killed only 10 trees, which was quite painful because we are planting all these trees,”.
Several others were in disagreement of the movie altogether and called it a “shame” for making “profits” off martyrdom. Tweets of disagreement ranged from, “These people have used Army’s sacrifice and people’s sentiments for their Business gain” to “Milking money by nationalism this is bollywood propaganda“
