On Thursday, Ontario is reporting 132 new COVID-19 infections, continuing the trend of a slight uptick in infections across the province. The province processed more than 26,000 tests in the last 24 hours, up from 24,000 tests conducted a day earlier.
“Ontario is reporting 132 cases of #COVID19 as the province processed over 26,000 tests. Peel is reporting 45 new cases, with 31 in Toronto and 22 in Ottawa. Every other public health unit is reporting five or fewer cases, with 18 units reporting no new cases“, the Health Minister, Christine Elliot, stated in her tweet today.

In Peel Region, Brampton continues to see an increase in the number of cases where 51 cases were reported today as per data on Peel Public Health’s website.

Quebec (Report Date: September 3):
The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Québec show 187 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 62,933. No new death has occurred in the last 24 hours, but 3 deaths which occurred before August 27 are added, for a total of 5,767 deaths.
Across the globe, the US (+41,211), Brazil (+48,632) and India continue to see an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. Pakistan reported 441 new cases yesterday compared to its neighbour India where 82,860 new cases were registered.
